Готовый перевод Старинные открытки Николаева / Postcards Nikolaev: Открытки
Dear friends.
This year our city celebrates its 225th anniversary. It happens so that today we are facing some problems that take our time, our mood and our money. It does not seem like a right time for postcards.
But those who forget their history have no future. The second reprinted edition of vintage postcards with Nikolayev sights became possible thanks to all of you. This time we collected the funds for printing by the method of fundraising, so "every little bit helps."
We, the people of Nikolaev, have a lot to be proud of in our city, a lot of things to cherish and remember. Thus we have plenty of work to do: we have to build new fine houses, lay new straight streets and found new huge enterprises.
Our city has always been beautiful and inhabited by beautiful people. Look at these houses and streets preserved at these old postcards. They are more than a hundred years old. Some buildings have not survived until now, streets have completely changed their appearance. And this makes the value of each old photo even bigger. Not a lot of them have been preserved and they all have historical and cultural significance.
Happy 225th birthday to you, our eternally young Nikolaev!
