Ximdex is a powerful content management system that simplifies the process of information management through the use of semantic technologies.
Ximdex easily brings structure to web sites visually, managing your documents so as any constituent elements (videos, images, applications, audio...). You can quickly find files for its edition or reuse in other content.

Ximdex technology covers a wide range of complementary functionality for document management and Web content, allowing visual editing of any content or web application, its structure and meta tags in the form of semantic annotations, and even «enrichment» from relevant images for the document you are editing.
Ximdex is modular in nature and is based on standards (XML, XSLT, ...) and through the concept of our exclusive «decoupled publishing» is the only CMS for portal managing, assuring independence from operating technology in use (HTML5, XHTML, J2EE, PHP, .NET, RoR, Django, ASP, ...), allowing easy development of portal without affecting the stored content, for example, adapting it to HTML5.

What is Ximdex?
Ximdex is a content management environment and web application that combines simplicity and power in a visual tool for automatic generation of portals and web applications, DTV, mobile platforms, etc. Its power and modularity allow its use as a Content Management System (CMS) for Web Content Management (WCM), Mobile Content Management System (MCMs), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Document Management (DM).

What kind of websites can I manage with Ximdex?
Any portal can be managed with Ximdex: Internet portals and web sites of various sizes and types aimed at the general public and citizens, for customers and suppliers; internal enterprise portals targeted to members of a company or organization; web 2.0 websites (forums, news...), with both dynamic or static paradigms for scalation improval, etc.

The use of XML allows Ximdex to generate multiple formats and multiple channels from a single piece of content. Ximdex is easy to use, and does not require any technical expertise to manage content as its interface has been designed with the final user in mind. Provides Ximedit, a powerful editor that allows content creation using open or predefined documents. Ximdex allows easy structure adoption, documents and images management orderly and locate them quickly. Each document can be made up of images, tables, lists, links, videos etc. Any web element that is needed to display information properly that will be guaranteed to adapt visually to any necessary element.

for the website administrator is a powerful tool to manage security in content creation and information flows. What are the needed requirements to manage content with Ximdex?
A current generation internet browser is all that is needed as all Ximdex functions are managed remotely through a browser.

What conditions are necessary to install Ximdex?
Ximdex Content Management System can be installed on any PC running Linux or Windows, as its environment is decoupled and has no large hardware requirements. The use of our decoupled publishing technology enables a large organization to be managed with a basic server computer.

What is the integration time of a Ximdex project?
Projects can be undertaken in discrete, short phases allowing the start on production state from the second or third week of the project. We share many experiences of migration but would highlight the replacement of a popular Java-based CMS with Ximdex during the test period prior to the «opening» of an intranet serving millions of users (the date was engaged for several weeks before).

Do you support WebDAV?
Yes, it access to the folders through webdav is granted.
Do you have different environment views per user?
Thanks to the role and groups management you can customize what can any single user see and do within the manager.

Does it provide configurable workflow for documents?
Yes, the flow states are created graphically from Ximdex.

Do you support languages and channels?
