You go to New York and you talk to New York italian kids. They say, 'O fan' gool!' »
Artem

[00:12:50] Igor Mukhin: So, if I understand correctly: Dr. Kline ignored the Jacque's idea and wanted to get rid of Jacque after the crash, because in the worst case it could have come out that Jacque already solved the issue with the plane and Kline could have prevented the crash. Is it so?
[00:08:51] Ray / Gman (LTi): Exactly
[00:09:16 | Edited 00:10:17] Ray / Gman (LTi): Jacque & Ford were released (fired) to save Kline's stupid ass.
[00:12:50] Igor Mukhin: (y) The case is closed!
[00:16:29] Igor Mukhin: So «We're in now» was meant as «Now we're in the bussiness» in this case?
[00:18:55] Ray / Gman (LTi): It meant that they then expected their 'turned wing' idea to finally be taken seriously by Kline and others.
[00:20:25 | Edited 00:20:34] Ray / Gman (LTi): «We're in» is an old-time English slang phrase that means something like 'the situation has suddenly changed and we will benefit in some way (usually with acceptance or financially)
Roxanne:
* No the plane was not modified with Jacque's invention. They ignored it.
* Yes the plane did crash and the test pilot died and another on board was injured.
* Ford was the chief draftsman who hired Jacque and liked and admired Jacque's work. The head of aerodynamics (Dr. Kline) did not want to hear what Jacque had to say because Jacque questioned the validity of some aspects of the Benooli (spelling?) Principle and when Jacque approached Dr. Kline about having a pivoting wing tip to take the plane out of a flat spin on this plan as Jacque predicted Kline said he does not even want to talk to Jacque if he did not accept the Benooli Principle. Ford tried to back Jacque and when the plane did crash during testing Ford thought that Jacque and he would be recognized. Instead they were both asked to resign. It is easier to ask them to resign then to have Kline be held responsible. Jacque was in his 20's and felt this was the first time he realized that a «scientist» was not always scientific. He felt if he was wrong Kline should have shown him where his failures were not to just dismiss him without even talking to him about it.

[01:48:45] Ray / Gman (LTi):
Igor, I've listened to it several times and I can't work out any reason for him to use those specific words in this context. «We're in now» normally refers to being made acceptable or valid, as in them suddenly finding their work being hailed as great by those they were trying to impress.
It seems that Ford thought that flatspin event was a good thing, but they were then asked to leave the company. I don't see how the phrasing relates to the story. Perhaps it means the company would not want to use the tech because they would sell less planes?
You might want to put this one in front of J&R for clarification.
