12 monkeys season 3 / Promos: 12 MONKEYS | Inside Season 3: Episode 3 | SYFY

DEACON: His dad didn't know better. His dad was not a good man. But I do believe he loved his son but he loved him in only way he knew how which is what he was taught. And so there's sort of beget beget beget like violence begets violence begets violence. And I think his father was an abusive man and I think Deacon fears that in himself -- part of Deacon is able to be, the sociopath that he is - is because of the way his father raised him. And I think for better or for worst part of him is grateful because it prepared him to live in a post-apocalyptic environment and at the same time he hates the fact of what his father did to him his mother and what his father did to his brother and what his father did to him and-- so he hates the man and at the same time realizes he's very much like him and so hates that about him so-- it's a snake that eats his own tale.
