Perhaps this decision was the echo of many hikings were gone in my life, many travellings during which I saw people leaving in different, sometimes difficult conditions and managing to be even more humane than those «civilized» urban kind men.

Maybe it is the realization of our parents' dream. For example my father always told that he want to leave in a village and draw pictures retiring on a pension. That is why there were three houses bought by our family in the different parts of Russia. To tell the truth, that was the end of our family's ecological living experiment. Until now we still have one house in the one of midland villages, which is empty for many years.

In fact, it is an experiment, and noone of the settlers knows for sure how it will end up. It occured that all of us are the city dwellers, and country life is a mistery for us, solving which is the purport of the experiment. An equation with multiple unknowns. But it is interesting, and the process is inspiring.

Of course, some find their answers now, and quit from the project, some people come and see that such "exercises" are to tough for them. We are still unsure. Each getting his own answers with his own pace.

It must be good to have an idea which would unite all of us in a single space - religious, ideological, or any other... But it happened so, that we couldn't find a good one. One thing we've come to is that we are interested in process itself of creating an ecological settlement, a one in which we'd be able to realize our ideas, develop ourselves, do creative work. We have an interest in creating our little society, a one we could tell others about.
