A russian friend pointed this site out to me, and I am impressed with the quality of the site.
We are a group of people looking to translate articles and news from Greek to other languages.
The text section in this site looks to be almost exactly what we wanted to use, however we do not speak russian.
I see that the site allows the creation of non russian texts, however I do not think anyone is doing that.
Is this site based on some open source project that we could try and deploy elsewhere? If not, do you have any suggestion for us?

I suggest you to use this site. It's just has russian interface, and it's not a big problem. You can easily create your own translation to any language and use a dictionary for the first time, but soon you'll get used to it. You will translate and communicate using your native language.

I just felt like I would be intruding, since it seems to be mainly used from/to russian.

I think I will take your suggestion and try using this site, I am afraid it might be too hard to use, especially since some of the people that are interested in doing translations are not that good with computers. However it seems that Chrome can translate the site quite well.
I will create a first one as a demo and see how it goes.
