How I watched "The Last Ship"

First, I clearly remembered the Spanish show «El Barco» with a similar story.
Second, I was shocked. Ask me why. Go on, ask me. Okay, I'll tell you. An inferior female officer says to the captain when they all hear about the end of the world: «My girlfriend bla-bla-bla». Wow! Really? You know what was great about the USA in 1980s? That you could find ANYTHING to your liking, just pay the money. Now they don't ask you. You are stuck with female presidents, and gay couples in teenage movies. The next step is a black female president. This will be something else.
