CHRIS: In season 2 of Halt and Catch Fire a lot of a story for Mutiny dealt with where the network was hosted. There was a lot of conflict there in terms of 'who was really in charge of the network'. And Cameron has decided they're going to own their own mainframe. So that the don't have to answer to anyone.
MACK: We left Cameron imploring Donna to join her in this sort of radical move across the country which would allow them to be as untethered as possible.
CHRIS: We left the characters in a place where they're all on a way to California.
CHRIS: And Mutiny is going to see if they can make a name for themselves along the other titans of the industry. And on that plane they bring secrets and conflicts, huge choices.
MACK: I think Cameron has made very bold decision and dealt with consequence as they came. And sitting on that plane and knowing that she's [buckling up] up literally for a future that a couple of year ago she couldn't've dreamed of.
MEL: We found Cameron waiting on a plane. Quite nervous about whether Tom Randon was going to join her or not. And, very sadly, he did not show up.Donna and Gordon's marriage was really on the rock. We know that Donna's holding secrets back from Gordon.
DONNA: I think part of was this sort of secret that she's gotten pregnant and without telling Gordon had ended the pregnancy which I think weighed on her heavily. And then a decision to the family and company to California as a last effort to save the marriage, save the company.
MEL: Gordon has just realized that Joe has taken the idea and product that he developed for Joe as a personal attempt to win back his wife, but he's taken that and made commercial [strikes] with it. And Gordon is at loose ends trying to figure out what he's going to do. And in awe about what Joe has done to him yet again.
JOE: At the end of season 2 Joe leaves Taxes and moves to California. And his life has once again gone through a complete reversal trying to shed all of those habits he had dealing with people. He was committed to being normal. Just actin like the other humans. And he failed. Joe's a destructive force. With his powerful sense of innovation and creation comes this habit of destruction. And he leaves behind the biggest destruction of his career. So we find that he reinvent himself yet again. Because he has the opportunity to do that at the end of season 2.
CHRIS: So they all posed to now enter the big league of Silicon Valley.
Seeing the Mutiny and Joe's ideas for antivirus are destined to matter. Whether or not maybe they should've stayed apart in Texas.
