- We discovered that the Witness might be possessed of this ability to travel trough time without a machine. And very dangerous and threatening because it means defending the time machine from him will not stop him from doing what he needs to do.
- Dragging a little boy and yanking him around and holding a gun to a child's head is for me personally very unsettling. So it was something I needed to get comfortable with, have a talk with him and his mom, and let him know that this is what the gun looks like. And even firing blanks against the wall to show him how loud it will be. You know, so when I do it I'm not concerned about this child that I can just kind of zone out and be dead in the eyes.
- The peripheral characters are there to shed light on the strengths and weaknesses of the core characters. And so with Deacon having the ability to say 'I don't have what it take to kill Cassie' and Cole doesn't want to admit that. That shines more light on the fact that Cole has buried that.
- I think after all they've been through Cole still believes that maybe they do know each other. Maybe they still have that connection. Deep down he knows she would never let him die.
- He basically sacrifices himself and really that's everything on being shot is going to be what snap her out of it.
- Of course he's the only one who can get through. It's Cole and Cassie.
- I think that was really very strong impact on her. Because it's not only that she loses this person to whom she got close but it also shows that her ideas don't work.
- She feels guilty that she causes all these horrible things because it's all because of time travel [] and-- because of the time machine and the idea of time travel. And she just asks herself 'Is it worth it?' Is all this worth it?'
- She believes this is all her fault. That the creation of time travel, project Splinter, the machine, the choice to even go back and change anything maybe the thing that started all of this.
